The first thing I heard about PKR.com was that the unique software creates immense 3D environments giving a supposdely more 'realistic' game play. Thanks to this feature I believe there will be a lot more fish playing here as the sort of people that play here are more in to their 3d communities and pretty graphics then truely understanding how poker works. So if it's fish your looking for then this may well be the place for you.

I decided to deposit $50 here, (with $50 free) to test out the software. Initially the download was extremely slow (took almost 20 mins on a 8mbps connection to download and install) however during the download you can signup and make your first deposit. After the full installation was complete I went to the add/remove programs section on 'my computer' and the full installation was almost 800mb!

You will ned a pretty high spec pc to run the software (1gb ram min and a descent graphic card is advised) however you can run it in 'low detail' if you a running on a low spec machine.
As said earlier the main aspect of PKR.com is the ability to 'theme' your game, you can customize your own character, where you play as well as the sounds etc. Everything is laid out in 3d with multiple camera options which is obviously supposed to represent the view of a real live game.
